PRINCIPAL DAVIS

Principal Nikole L. Davis has served in various capacities in Lorain City Schools, including Dean of Scholar Engagement at Lorain High School and Director of Alternative Programs. She also served as the Principal of Academic Enrichment Academy/Credit Recovery Academy for 5 years. Prior to her role as a Principal, Mrs. Davis served as an Assistant Principal during the merging of Lorain Admiral King and Southview High Schools and played a critical role in building community relations during the merger. Mrs. Davis initiated her career as a School Psychologist in Lorain City Schools and has had the opportunity to work with various students with varying abilities and skill levels. Mrs. Davis is known to most as “Mama Davis” because of her strong belief in the power of relationship building when working with students, staff and the community.

Reginald A. Shaw is a native of Pontiac, Michigan, growing up on the eastside of the city, where he attended and graduated from Pontiac Northern High School. 


He was very involved in high school, as a member of the marching band, symphonic band, concert band, jazz band, cross country team, basketball team, and track and field team, which went on to become state champions. After graduating from high school, Reginald attended Saginaw Valley State University, where he was a student athlete. He ran track and field for three years and was co-captain.  He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and later returned to Saginaw Valley State University to earned a Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership and Principalship. 


Shaw has worked in education for the past 23 years and of those, 17 years have been in the capacity of a school administrator. He has served as an assistant principal and principal from grades PreK – 12 as well as has worked at the university level.  

 

He currently serves as assistant principal at General Johnnie Middle School. 


He is married to Quelina Jordan-Shaw and together the couple share four children, son Reginald Jr., and daughters Amari, Abigail, and Briana. 

Mr. Shaw is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., where he serves as advisor of the organization’s National Guide Right Youth Program. He also served as a volunteer assistant track and field coach at Buena Vista High School, where he coached a Class C State Champion high jumper. 


His personal motto is “Success doesn’t just come; you make success!”
