JULY 6, 2022 | Beginning this fall, all Lorain City Schools elementary buildings will have the same arrival and dismissal times, with our Titans starting school at 8:00 AM and dismissing at 2:30 PM.
Preschool students also start at 8:00 AM but dismiss at 1:45 PM.
We are excited about this change because it allows our youngest learners to have a consistent schedule across the district. This school year starts our much-anticipated fine arts programming expansion, with our youngest learners benefitting from a rotation of five itinerant classes, including Music, Art, Dance, Project Lead The Way, and Physical Education.
With the addition of these very exciting learning opportunities for our students comes a need to ensure each building is giving students equitable access to all programming.
The Lorain Schools Board of Education voted to approve this change on July 5, 2022. Our transportation partners at Auxilio are ready to implement this change and will continue to provide the reliable bus service that our families expect and deserve
