LORAIN CITY SCHOOLS ANTICIPATES WELCOMING JAMES BOYEAS AS HEAD FOOTBALL COACH

January 30, 2024 – Lorain City Schools is excited to announce the recommendation of James Boyeas as the next head football coach for Lorain High School. The recommendation for Coach Boyeas will be presented to the Lorain City Schools Board of Education at the upcoming school board meeting, marking an exciting new chapter for Lorain football.
 
Boyeas brings a distinguished background in education and coaching, making him an ideal candidate to lead Lorain High's football program, which went 8-3 this past season on its way to snagging the Lake Erie League championship. With extensive experience at both the collegiate and high school levels, Boyeas has garnered recognition as a highly regarded coach.
 
In addition, as a well-respected educator within Lorain City Schools, Boyeas exudes Titan pride.
 
Athletic Director Bryan Koury expressed enthusiasm for Boyeas' leadership, saying, "Coach Boyeas brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Lorain football program. We are very excited about the future of Lorain football."
 
Lorain High eagerly anticipates the energy and expertise that Coach Boyeas will bring to the football program, inspiring student-athletes to reach new heights of achievement on and off the field.
 
Boyeas said he looks forward to leading the program on behalf of the entire Lorain community.
 
"I'd like to thank those who were a part of the interview process, specifically Superintendent Dr. Jeff Graham, Assistant Superintendent Michael Scott, and Athletic Director Bryan Koury. 
 
The interview process was thorough, and throughout it, I was excited to share my vision of how we can best serve the students and continue the traditions and excitement our community shares surrounding our football program," Boyeas shared. "I am extremely eager and excited to further develop relationships with our student-athletes and implement our vision towards building a championship-level program."
