The OHSAA has informed all member schools that the decision has been made to play all basketball tournament games moving forward with limited spectators. Any fan that purchased a presale ticket will have the opportunity to have their money refunded. Fans can bring their ticket to the athletic department office on the following days and times to get their refund:
- Wednesday, March 11 – 7am-12noon and 1pm-5pm
- Thursday, March 12 – 7am-12noon and 1pm-4pm
- Friday, March 13 – 7am-12noon
There will be NO REFUNDS after Friday, March 13 at 12noon.
The OHSAA has a list of all players, cheerleaders and coaches for each respective school. Each of these individuals will be permitted the following for tonight’s game:
- Coaches +2 guests each
- Players +4 guests each
- Cheerleaders +4 guests each
Each of the coaches, players and cheerleaders will provide the Athletic Department with the names of their guests by 2:30pm today so that they can be included on a list that needs to be submitted to the tournament manager. This list will be at the gate tonight when guests arrive. These individuals will need to provide their name when they enter before they can purchase a ticket. Anyone that is not on the list will not be permitted into the game. Once the names are submitted to the Lorain High athletic department they are final and cannot be changed.
It is very important to note that each of these guests will have to pay for a ticket when they arrive. They will however be able to get their presale ticket money refunded at Lorain High, but none of the existing presale tickets will be accepted tonight.
NOTE: Athletic Director Bryan Koury has stated that This does NOT have any impact on the middle school tournament games UNLESS they are traveling to a school that chooses to follow this protocol.
