In
a press conference this afternoon, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has declared that all
schools, in the state, will close at the end of day, Monday, March 16th
through "at least" April 3rd. The governor has stated his decision
will be re-evaluated at that time, to determine if the closing will be
extended.
During this period, Lorain City Schools will be following DeWine’s order, and ALL Lorain City School District buildings will be closed.
The district is currently in the process of preparing learning materials for students to complete at home, and will determine the proper channels for getting those assignments in students’ hands.
The
district is also looking at options for providing food services for those in
need, and DeWine has stated, during his press conference, that he will be
weighing options to provide those supports to school districts.

and answer district phone calls for up to date decisions.

En una conferencia de prensa esta tarde, el Gobernador de Ohio Mike DeWine ha declarado que todas las escuelas, en el estado, cerrarán al final del día, el Lunes 16 de Marzo hasta “por lo menos” el 3 de Abril. El Gobernador ha declarado que su decisión será reevaluada en ese momento, para determinar si se extenderá el cierre.
Durante este tiempo Lorain City Schools estará siguiendo las instrucciones del Gobernado DeWine, y TODAS las escuelas del distrito estarán cerradas.
El distrito se encuentra actualmente en el proceso de preparar materiales de aprendizaje para que los estudiantes completen en casa, y determinará los canales adecuados para poner esas tareas en manos de los estudiantes.
