Who Was Longfellow?

Who was Henry Wadsworth Longfellow?

Longfellow Middle School opened in August of 2005 and replaced a middle school bearing the same name. The previous building opened in 1921 and was named for Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, a famous 19thCentury American poet who spent much of his life as a teacher and college professor.    “Song of Hiawatha,” and “The Children’s Hour” are some of Longfellow’s best known poems.
